Decided on Migration Manager from Metalogix. Extremely happy with the flexibility and granular nature of the tool. Migration went well. Only a couple issues with master pages and search box location that I was able to work out relatively quickly.

Now we're getting ready to start designing a new site from the ground up in Foundation and will migrate data to the new site using the same tool.

Apologies for the late update guys. I'm done with this, followed the db attach migration steps and viola. Had some minor glitches along the way but now our SPF is running happily. So Matt when you used Migration Manager did it move the DBs to a newer version of sql server or is that separate? We moved from WSS 3. The migration manager moved all of the data to the new content DB that I created when I configured Deep Ponkiya.
